A May 1st International Workers Day, 2010 show hosted by Michael Caddell with Dr. John Graham, editor of "Yours for the Revolution: The Appeal to Reason 1895 - 1922" (1990, University of Nebraska Press), and Dr. Fred Whitehead, editor with Verle Muhrer "Free Thought on the American Frontier" (1992, Prometheus Books) commemorating the "Appeal to Reason" Kansas newspaper 1895-1922. The Appeal was the largest circulated openly socialist newspaper in the United States, reaching a weekly circulation of 4,100,000 copies before a severe government clampdown prior to and during World War One.
